
On May 21st, 2011 the
VtES Portuguese EC Qualifier was held in
Lisboa,
Portugal with 18 players attending the qualifier tournament. The final standings after 3 rounds and the finals were as follows:
1. Igor Pereira (POR) -- Weenie Celerity with Sticks
2. Tiago Brum (POR) -- Boys Will Find Inner Peace
2. Marco Fernandes (POR) -- Tup Dogs
2. Nuno Moure (POR) -- Hardestadt Pure Rush

No Fame, no Aranthebes, no Dragonbound. How could that deck win? Is it just me, or do you guys also think that deck is...
Yeah, the lack of "conventional" master cards for a rush combat deck is .. disturbing.
My guess, the decks kills its predator and prey and then just swarm bleeds. Tribute to the Master and the lack of .44 Magnums are an indication for that.
Yep,weird. Another example that deckbuilding is just part of it all. It more or less comes down to deckbuilding, seating and playing skills. Maybe his seating was extraodinairy beneficial.
