VtES EC 2010: Another Friendly Reminder

Fellow Methuselah,

this is a friendly reminder of the upcoming 2010 European Championship that will take place in Paris, France starting from October 25th with the Week of Nightmares, with the LCQ / EC day 1 / EC day 2 on October 29th-31st.

Pre-registration and all the information you need is at official EC 2010 website. I strongly encourage all participants to register both to the event ("I register to EC" on the site) and to the accommodation place (named RIP, "I register to RIP" on the site), as soon as possible and redirect the information to whoever would be interested in attending the EC.

Before including here information about the venue, schedule and fees, I have a request for the people who post on a regular basis on other VtES related forums: could you either post here the URL for your local forum (national or the like) so I can post the same kind of message, or (even better) translate it yourself in your language and post there ?

You may also pass the word using the Facebook event page.

For the record, we currently have 65 pre-registered players from the following countries: Belgium (1), UK (2), France (22), Germany (2), Hungary (2), Italy (1), Spain (5), Finland (20), Norway (1), Poland (3), Portugal (1), Slovakia (1), Switzerland (1), USA (3). We can and should certainly have more attendance, but any boost in advertising from anyone would be welcome.

Tell your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband that Paris is an awesome city (which is true, even in October), no need to negotiate.

during the EC"): Go to the official website, then click on "I register to RIP".

The 2010 EC crew is eager to meet you there ! Stone

VtES Storyline: "Battle Lines" Aftermath

Ben Swainbank, the VtES storyline coordinator, has published the aftermath story of the VtES storyline event "Battle Lines", that took place from April to July 2010.

The ranking for the bloodlines look like this (Name -- #Wins -- (#Bahari/#Loyalists):
  • Kiasyd -- 15 wins -- (10 Bahari/5 Loyalist)
  • Baali -- 14 -- (14/0)
  • Salubri -- 8 -- (3/5)
  • Ahrimanes -- 7 -- (4/3)
  • Salubri Antitribu -- 6 -- (3/2)
  • Daughters of Cacophony -- 5 -- (4/2)
  • Gargoyles -- 4 -- (2/2)
  • True Brujah -- 4 -- (1/3)
  • Nagaraja -- 3 -- (2/1)
  • Blood Brothers -- 2 -- (1/1)
  • Samedi -- 2 -- (0/2)
The Kiasyd won the storyline event, but only by the smallest margin possible against the Baali. The Baali pledged their allegiance unanimously to the Bahari faction, but given the advantages provided by Lilith's Blessing this is no real surprise. Only in three of the bloodlines the Loyalist faction was stronger (the Salubri, the Samedi, and the True Brujah).

Regarding the key minions, the Kiasyd showing was not as scattered as the nominations for the Baali, so The Arcadian was the winner in this category:
The winning bloodlines pledged their allegiance with a significant margin to the Bahari faction:
  1. Bahari -- allegiance of 44 winning clans
  2. Loyalists -- allegiance of 26 winning clans
You can find more information on VtES storylines on the official storyline website.

Ossian .. Beer!

When looking for the picture of Lilith's Blessing, the Google search presented also this picture related to a tasting of Ossian Beer:
Ridiculous .. no, when you think of it, it becomes quite clear: Lilith's Blessing is a promo card used in the Battle Lines storyline event. And so is Infamous Insurgent, which speaks of Red List minions .. and Ossian is a Red List minion. Voila!

Deck of the Month: July 2010: Laibon Vote feat. Lutz

This month's deck is the tournament winning deck "Laibon Vote feat. Lutz" played by Kelly Schultz. Another Tup Dog deck like last month's? Well, not exactly. This one's a 60 card vote deck using the four different Laibon Kholo titles, and Lutz' special ability for ousting it's prey with raw political power. What I like about the deck is it's purity and dedication to the task at hand, ousting your prey with votes.
