This time Adam, Anders and Isak discuss Flurry of Action as well other means (unusual) means of multi-acting. In addition, they give some tips about drafting and playing in a draft tournament.

The second episode (of the fourth season) of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Sunday (September 12th, 2012). This time the three Swedish are joined by the Danish VtES player Martin Randers. They talk about the NAC 2012 tournament and the performance of the Three Inches of Danish Steel deck (based on Eze the Demon Prince) that Martin played during the tournament (and won with).

The first episode (of the fourth season) of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Sunday (September 2nd, 2012). Anders, Adam and Isak are joined by Randal Rudstam, and they talk about the Ropecon 2012 tournament and the Council of Doom deck that Randal played during the tournament (and won with). The fourth episode (of the third season) of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Sunday (May 20th, 2012). Anders, Adam and Isak discuss categorizing different deck types as well methods to analyze the meta game of a VtES tournament.

Cause & Effect: Episode 3.3

The third episode (of the third season) of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Tuesday (May 15th, 2012). Anders, Adam and Isak talk about cards that enhance card flow directly (e.g. Barrens, Dreams of the Sphinx, ..) and indirectly because either they're offering versatility (e.g. Force of Personality) or can be played almost unconditionally (e.g. Seduction). The goal when including these cards is to prevent hand-jams, which is one of the worst things that can happen in a game of VtES.

Anders, Adam and Isak talk about some general strategy topics, that is dealing for victory point, back-ousting players and choosing seating in the final round of a VtES tournament.

Cause and Effect: Interview with the VEKN Design Team Leader

A special episode of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Tuesday (March 27th, 2012). The three Swedish hosts interviewed the VEKN design team leader, Ben Peal. The focus of the interview was the development of upcoming VtES expansion.

This ends the 2nd season of Cause & Effect. The next season will start around mid-April. On a related note I will do a short break, too. So only very updates on this blog for the next two weeks.

Upcoming "Cause & Effect" special: An hour with the VEKN Design Team Leader

Next week (March 27th, 2012), the VtES webshow "Cause & Effect" will have a special guest, the design team leader for the upcoming VtES expansion (and three time NAC champion) Ben Peal. Initially the topic of the interview will be his role within the VEKN and his work as design team leader.

The ninth episode (of the second season) of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Tuesday (March 21st, 2012). Anders, Adam and Isak discussed gave a quick recap on their results during the Danish ECQ this year and then discussed various deck trying to (ab)use the Malkavian Madness Network.

The next episode is scheduled for the March 24th.

Cause and Effect: Interview with the VEKN Chairman

A special episode of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Tuesday (March 13th, 2012). Adam and Isak interviewed the VEKN chairman, Johannes Walch. Center of the interview were the VEKN as volunteer organization and their goals as well as the development of upcoming VtES expansion.

The eighth episode (of the second season) of the VTES webshow Cause and Effect has been broadcasted live this Tuesday (March 6th, 2012). Anders, Adam and Isak discussed what makes decks effective and the importance of having (and performing actions) in a game of VtES.

Upcoming "Cause & Effect" special: An hour with the VEKN Chairman

Next week (March 13th, 2012), the VtES webshow "Cause & Effect" will have a special guest, the VEKN chairman Johannes Walch. So the talk on the show will go beyond the typical deck and strategy discussion and focus on the current (and future) state of the development process for the upcoming VtES set.

The two open letters concerning the Design Team & the development process of the next VtES card set, the original one by Jeff Kuta and the reply by the VEKN Inner Circle (as posted by Robyn Tatu), has (re-)started a discussion about the development process (and related issues) on VEKN.net. The hosts of Cause & Effect have invited Johannes Walch to talk on Cause & Effect in an effort to shed some light on the current situation and, in addition, what the Inner Circle does and what Johannes' role is in the Inner Circle.

Any question that you would like Johannes to answer can be asked in the announcement thread on VEKN.net or sent to "causeampersandeffect (/at/) gmail (/dot/) com". The hosts of the webshow will try to make sure that every question get asked to Johannes, but as you might imagine it depends on how many questions are stated.
