The reason for this is that Dark Influences only care about the cancellation of cards, while (as just said) Delaying Tactics only cancels the referendum (the other player even gets the political card (if any) back into his hand.

.. that when Dark Influences is in play, you can still play Delaying Tactics to cancel the currently ongoing referendum? The reason for this is that Dark Influences only care about the cancellation of cards, while (as just said) Delaying Tactics only cancels the referendum (the other player even gets the political card (if any) back into his hand.

I didn't knew. This changes a LOT of things.
It is always the same: Read the f*** card ... Now I have to think thrice about putting that card into one of my decks.
The card is still good! ;)
