.. you cannot use Taste of Vitae when a vampire you control is in combat with an ally. OK, maybe you know that already, but in addition, you are also not even allowed to play the card when in combat with an ally.
Yeah, I never quite got how you can lick vampire blood off the walls and various other objects but can't manage to do the same with ally's blood... from a thematic point of view.
You could imagine, that blood coming from allies is not nutrious enough for old vampires compared to precious Kindred blood. As you lick just small amounts off walls ( :o) ) that could make a difference that way.
With Theft of Vitae you can transfer large amounts of blood from an ally so that counts.
But I wouldn't mind if Taste would work against allies too.

Allies don't have arms to be ripped out or heads do be decapitated...

Usually by the time you've ripped the arms off an ally, you might as well have blended it and drunk the bloody-goodness...
