Sabbat War Card Game Sells Out

Atlanta, Ga., October 20, 2000 -- White Wolf, best known for the roleplaying game Vampire: The Masquerade, announced today that the initial print run of the new Vampire: The Eternal Struggle card game, Sabbat War, has sold out from the publisher. Sabbat War will be available through retail channels beginning October 30, 2000.

Plans are being made at this time for an additional expansion entitled Final Nights that will follow the Sabbat War model. Final Nights is scheduled for a May, 2001 release.

"We knew Vampire: The Eternal Struggle was a winner, but we had no idea that the response to Sabbat War would be so strong," said White Wolf Marketing Director Tim Avers. "We produced Sabbat War to reward fans of the game, and they have rewarded us in return." Global pre-release events for the Sabbat War on Halloween weekend will give players a first look at this much-anticipated set.

Sabbat War is a standalone expansion for the Vampire: The Eternal Struggle strategy card game that was originally designed by Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield. Sabbat War pre-constructed decks and boosters also allow new players to pit their undead minions against one another in a game packed with dynamic mechanics and social elements.
